NOTICE TO LIQUOR LICENSEES

Please note that the Department of Revenue is the state agency that has jurisdiction over the application of state liquor licensing laws. Individuals working in the Alcohol and Tobacco Section of the department are very knowledgeable and helpful, and can probably answer most questions about the state statutes relating to liquor licenses.

Please be aware, however, that some local ordinances may be more restrictive than the state statutes. The ordinances relating to liquor licensing in the Lake Mills Municipal Code may be found in Title 3, Chapter 1 and its amendments. These ordinances are available for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk, and copies may be purchased by requesting the particular public record
and paying the applicable copy cost.

Questions regarding the local ordinances on the subject of liquor licensing may be directed to the City Clerk, but the personnel in City Hall may not render legal opinions regarding your particular circumstances.
