The City of Lake Mills combines a rich history with beautiful neighborhoods, parks and recreation facilities to create an attractive community in which to live and work. The economic health of Lake Mills, as with many communities, is closely related to the ability of the municipal government to supply its citizens with efficient services, safe public spaces, and properly maintained infrastructure. Our parks and urban forest is a necessary component of this urban environment. Their shade and beauty contribute to the community's quality of life and soften the hard appearance of concrete and streets. Our parks and urban forest provides significant economic benefits, including increased real estate values and more attractive settings in which to locate commercial business. Unlike other components of the city's infrastructure, our parks and urban forest, with proper care, will actually continue to increase in value with each passing year. A successful Parks & Forestry Department requires a combination of organized leadership, comprehensive information about our parks and urban forest, effective public relations and most of all, dedicated personnel.

Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Lake Mills Parks & Forestry Department is the commitment of effective and responsible management of city owned parks and recreational areas, cemetery, urban forest and resources which enrich the quality of life within the community; and to maintain and operate all facilities and resources to accepted standards of safety, cleanliness and efficiency for the citizens of Lake Mills.
